I love looking at other people’s gardens. On the assumption that some of you feel the same way, here’s what’s growing behind our little house in the suburbs.
I wish I knew what sort of chicory this is. It came in a long ago mix and has been re-seeding itself for years:
The onions need thinning now the tomatoes have died back and stopped shading them:
A few final Chardonnay bell peppers:
Some tangy greens for fall salads:
Turnip greens–the Bt really seems to keep down the caterpillars:

Aww, TL, your cat is so cute. I want to pick her (aren’t tabbies that colour mostly female?) up and cuddle her
She would totally be up for that. Anytime. All the time, if she had her way.
I just love your blog, even if I don’t always comment I love to come here and learn something new.
The cat is just the right surprise to the mix!

we have just planted our winter greens, i hope we are not too late. i think i may try the sugar scrub. i too do not like the greezzeee feel on my face, but my dry winter legs may love it.
Thank you, Linda. We appreciate you very much. Delicious-looking pumpkin muffin recipe, by the way. Yum.
Jenni–I’m sure it isn’t too late for greens, especially since you are south of here (I peeked at your lovely blogs, such beautiful photos and art).
luv that sweet kitty-cat!
