This little bottle is so well loved in my house, the label is all worn off. But, I’ll tell you what it is.
Here’s the routine that is saving my skin….(though I currently have quite a few ‘bug bites’, as my kids call them, from neglecting my routine for a month. EEK!)
1. Use homemade basil sugar scrub in shower and leave on for a couple of minutes.
2. Rinse a bunch and then a little leftover shampoo bubbles or other dilute amount of soap over my face for the final rinse.
3. After shower, wet washcloth and sprinkle a few drops TTO on it.
4. Wipe over face.
5. Apply TTO directly to any trouble spots.
But, Ivory, tea tree oil costs a bagillion bucks!
You are correct.
Unless you know this weird little hiccup that I’ve found. Olympian Labs make two sizes 1.6oz and 2.0oz. The 1.6 is under 5$ and the 2.0 is over 12$. (Go here to see.)
Hmmmmmm….they’re both a hundred percent pure. Maybe the fact that Mr. 6 has a medicine dropper? The only other diff is that one is 3$/oz and one is 6$/oz. But even the 6$/oz one is lower than most suppliers you’ll find around.
But regardless, we’re addicted. We use it on skin, in soap, laundry detergent, spray starch, in wipes, and as an anti-funk-ify-er in our homemade cosmetics.

I first tried this tip a few weeks ago and LOVED the results using it a couple times a week. But since I have tried other fixes for my problem skin in the past only to find it was a fluke or whatever that it cleared up I quite using it for a couple weeks and presto the problems were back so I went back to using it a few days ago and again after just 2 times it is clearing it up nicely. Thank you so much for all your wonderful tips and ideas on here. I fidn myself coming back to the site day after day to see what new ideas have been posted or to reread one of th emany useful and informative previous posts. You do a great job of showing everyday Moms how to be more eco-friendly while still living normal lives! Thank you!
Wonderful!!! I”m so glad it’s working. Now, if only I would be consistent…
