Bermuda grass is what Satan grows in his lawn.
It’s invasive and impossible to kill.
So, gardening in a Southern Bermuda yard is…not fun. However, last year, my neighbor tore down her screened porch.
I asked her if I could take the carpet and shingles for the garden.
She thinks I’m nuts. I may be.
If you do anything like this, be sure to tuck the carpet (or what have you) up under the beds a couple of inches.
I didn’t do that last years and was having to weedeat carpet. *head shake*
And not that I don’t LOVE the tarmac look, but I’m hoping the lattice she let me take last year chips well and will help me mulch on top.
Recycle-o-rama!
