In my post on Fake fake broccoli, I wrote about how I have been using the bolted tips of my turnip greens like broccoli raab. I made it into a salad the other day and it was very refreshing.
This is another guideline-style recipe. Size yours up or down according to your needs.
Wash and coarsely chop a bowl of tender turnip greens tips (or any mixed greens or lettuce)
Peel and “supreme” a whole grapefruit (slice, removing pith)
Thinly slice a couple of green onions
Sprinkle with toasted sunflower seeds
Toss with your favorite salad dressing, such as an Herb Vinaigrette (recipe for this vinaigrette is about halfway through the post linked here, or use your own best recipe).
