Yes! We live in a modular home development, (upscale trailer park) in PA, that has VERY SPECIFIC, RIDICULOUS RULES for what we’re allowed to do. However, we still do everything we can to save, including composting, recycling, or burning most of our trash. We also garden vegetables and herbs in raised beds. We grow blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries in our yard. And we barter as much as possible. We can’t do as much as you can, because of the rules here, but even with both my husband and I working full time, we get a lot done. Our dream is to someday have a piece of land where we can grow what we want and add animals to our “homestead”.
Thanks for the blog – we love it! And congrats on keeping your goats, they’re beautiful!
@ Becky–Thank you! And my grandparents lived in one of those. Like a whole neighborhood of yard-having landscaped double-wides? They loved it. No kids allowed, buried power lines, lots of crazy specific rules. HA! Nightmare for people like us. But it sounds like you’re doing GREAT!
