As I said on another post...I've been out of town and then totally lazy, so I'm just getting to all these comments.

@Sabrina--How did it go? And converting the hubby's is the hardest part. I *finally* got him on the deodorant. I don't think I'll ever find a toothpaste substitute that he'll use, though. Tell me if you find one!

@Teri--I LOVE that. Talk latitude to me!

@Betty--OOOOooo, do you have a blog? Oh, I found it! I wanna pick your brain about the 60%.

@rowena--I LOVE that you love those plans. I about cried when I first saw them on your blog!!!

oh, I just stumbled over the EXACT thing I needed today. woo-hoo! I'm SF gardening for the first time this year and inadvertently put cukes in the middle of my bed. oops. this solution s just the trick I was looking for...cheap and easy. :) thanks!

btw, I've got my hubby sold on the homemade laundry detergent. He was a diehard Tide user for all the years he's done laundry. Now, he's got three people at work making their own! LOVE your site. :)

Oh ya, squeeze a nickle 'til the beaver (or buffalo depending upon which side of the 49th parallel you're on) cries out in pain. Totally my cup of tea (or coffee - note above reference to geographic location).
Thanks for the great idea, my cukes are starting to vine all over.

I first learned about trellisig cucumbers a couple of years ago. I love it! The cucumbers take up less ground space, and it's easier to keep critters off them. By the way, I really enjoy your blog and your adventures in farming in the suburbs. I live in the middle of a city with a veggie garden that provides us with about 60% of our produce. We're working on improving that number. Oh, and our four chickens. I can relate to so many of your stories! And I love th recipes you share. I hadn't realized all of the bug repelling properties of different essential oils. Thank you so much for all the great information you share!
