me:  “Hey, TL, when are we going to have another giveaway?”

TL:  “I have some pretty awesome 100% olive oil soap curing.”

me:  “When will it be ready?”

TL:  “Six weeks.”

me:  “Dang.  That’s a long time.  Are you sure we can wait that long?”

TL:  “It will be on us before you know it.”

(Ivory blinks.  It’s SIX WEEKS LATER)

TL:  “Here’s the soap. You have to try it.  It’s really awesome.”

me:  “Huh?  ACK, I didn’t make anything!”

TL:  “I have hugs & kisses washcloths and luxury lotion bars and two other kinds of soap.”

me:  “ACK, I didn’t make anything!”

TL:  “I don’t have wrappers for the soap this time.”

me:  “ACK, I didn’t make anything!”

So, since I SHOULD contribute something to the giveaway…any special requests?   I have, like 24 hours to prove I’m not a total layabout.

Ha ha ha! Procrastinators of the world unite. Absolutely nothing helpful to contribute though. LOL Good luck!

A signed copy of the book?
A recipe?
Gift labels to use with Christmas or birthday gifting?
Handmade lunch bags?

What about some lip gloss, I made some of yours the other day and it’s AWESOME. Here’s to un-petroleum-ifying ourselves!
(and, just so you know, that would totally be me if I were doing a blog giveaway, “Hmm, what’s laying around in the bottom of the closet that doesn’t look like it’s leftover…”)

A little print-out book of recipes? Some of your blueberry buttons? Chicken eggs? Oh wait, scratch that last one….

Elizabeth Hosto October 14, 2009 at 2:34 pm

I am so agreeing with the signed copy of the book, fab idea, even though I have boys I want the book. But I also like the print out recipe book too. Really, I guess anything you can whip up in 24 hours would be fine with me…

how long does a gee-haw whimmy diddle take?

The recipe for 100% Olive Oil Soap for my husband’s cousin!

Robin October 15, 2009 at 4:11 am

I think some blueberry buttons would be perfect! I was so inspired I am trying it with my walnut trees.

Emily October 15, 2009 at 5:26 am

I’m with everyone else’s ideas… minus the eggs :) Or you could just let TL do this one, and you could do a special Ivory one next month (hummm maybe that’s just me wanting 2 chances for a give away, lol).

Autographed photos of the goats.

You could do the bands for the soaps. Not a lot of planning and easy to make on a printer.

Eileen October 15, 2009 at 6:42 am

Oh, yeah. I totally want a signed copy of the book.

Jill October 15, 2009 at 6:43 am

I agree with PammyPoo: I really, really want that recipe for 100% olive oil soap!

Robin October 15, 2009 at 6:48 am

May I get that recipe too! That sounds so wonderful! Blueberry buttons would be a lovely giveaway!

Thanks for all the info. Blessings to you both,
Robin

I vote for the olive oil soap recipe & blueberry buttons!

Kim Quan October 15, 2009 at 9:34 am

I think the button idea is great, or how about a little packet of seeds from your garden?

Kris October 15, 2009 at 11:11 am

I think you’ve put too much pressure on yourself. Step back – and PUNT!! Wish I could be more helpful…lol.

Kalinda October 15, 2009 at 9:29 pm

No ideas of my own to give, but I second all of the above. I also like Emily’s proposal – letting TL do this one, and giving us all another chance next month to win something from you!

Katie October 15, 2009 at 9:41 pm

Hmmm…something quick and easy. Sounds like a copy of your book wins. You take some awesome pictures, how about a selection of pictures of your chickens? :-)

Gloria Carrington-Ferrira October 15, 2009 at 10:54 pm

Hello from Russia!
Can I quote a post in your blog with the link to you?

Faith October 24, 2009 at 9:58 am

Why are you making this so hard for yourself?

My vote…keep it Simple & Natural, they are in abundance all around us….

Faith
