oh a giveaway! I’ve been an RSS subscriber for just a few months but I loove it.
If I were to win the book, I’d want it inscribed to my daughter, “Happy Advent, Little Dancer!” All the prizes look awesome. Love the blog! :o )

2 Elizabeth Hosto October 16, 2009 at 10:55 am

I would LOVE the book, well. I would love any of it since I love fancy homemade soap too but the inscription should read: For Elizabeth, Here is a wonderful childrens book to add to your collection. Enjoy! Love, Deanna

Oh and I get you guys by email too!

Thanks for the great give aways, you guys are fab!

3 Kathy K October 16, 2009 at 10:59 am

I would like my inscription to read: To Ada and Sofia Merry Christmas 2009 and your signature, of course!

4 Kathy K October 16, 2009 at 11:00 am

I subscribed via email.

5 Anna October 16, 2009 at 11:08 am

I would love any of the giveaways the book would be great for my daughter, but the olive oil soap would be wonderful for me!
The book inscription should read: To Bianca, Christmas 2009. For your future enjoyment as you cannot read yet. Love, Deanna. (She’s only 14 months, afterall.)

6 Anna October 16, 2009 at 11:08 am

Oh, and I love the email updates, but that doesn’t stop me from continually checking the site for updates my self… just in case the email lied and there is a newer post.

7 Linda Siska October 16, 2009 at 11:13 am

I would love the book, too — saw it prominently displayed at the local book store and almost went home with a copy! The inscription should read: To Jena, may you find as much joy in books as your Mama and Granmama have done. All the best . . .

8 Jennifer Wernet October 16, 2009 at 11:16 am

The inscription should read:
To Michelle because youre never too old to learn how to dance.

9 Alli S. October 16, 2009 at 11:26 am

I would love a copy of your book for my daughter – she’s 10 months old now but loves to look at picture books, and I want to instill in her a love of reading for life.

My desired inscription would be:
“To Arcadia Winter Margaret, may your life be like a ballet: graceful, beautiful, purposeful and meaningful.”

PS. I am subscribed via Google Reader, which lives in my email. Does this count?

10 Kat October 16, 2009 at 11:27 am

If I win the book, I’d like it inscribed “To Leah, who refuses to dance. May you someday find the freedom!”
My daughter is 12. She has never wanted to dance, and still won’t dance. I “dance” all around the house and she just stares at me…

11 Alli S. October 16, 2009 at 11:31 am

I also thumbs-upped it on StumbleUpon. Thanks!

Yet-another-PS: My camera ALSO eats regular batteries like candy. We switched to the Energizer Lithium ones made specially for cameras, and we get almost 15 times more pictures with them. They are more expensive, but totally worth the price!

12 nancy October 16, 2009 at 11:41 am

Oh, how exciting! I once signed up to get emails, but I believe our new server here blocks them. Oy! I would love an inscription to read “To Zoey, keep dancing – always! Christmas 2009 from Ivory Soap aka Deanna” Thanks bunches ladies! (And best wishes with all the batteries, cords, keys. and cameras)

13 Granola Girl October 16, 2009 at 11:55 am

Ivory~
We always had the same issues with our camera and the weird cord which was always off on vacations somewhere. We finally just bought an SD card and an adapter (some computers don’t need an adapter). The card slips right into the camera, lets us take over 1000 pictures and cost only like 20 bucks. Even better, the card slips right out of the camera and directly into the laptop for me to copy and paste. I don’t even have to download them. My dinosaur old PC required the 12 dollar adapter since it didn’t have an SD slot, but the adapter is small enough that we can put it in a ziplock baggie above the fridge so small hands can’t run off with it. It also doesn’t have nearly the imaginary uses a cord does. It has saved us from the “pictures stuck on the camera” saga so many times!

14 Kat October 16, 2009 at 12:09 pm

Ok, our baby blog linked to this.
If it worked.
Finger crossed!

If I am lucky enough to win your nice prizes, my grandaughter’s birthday is coming up next month. To Laurissa, Have fun. Dance your way through life.

I am going to tweet it now under gafarmwoman.
Thanks,
Good luck on your book.
Pam

17 Tabitha Klucking October 16, 2009 at 12:50 pm

The inscription would have to say something about chickens. I was first attracted to your site because of the chicken header. After that I actually read the posts and was hooked, but your chicken header still makes me happy. Thanks!

18 Amy October 16, 2009 at 1:05 pm

Oh, I’ve had days like that! Hope it gets better!
Inscription:To Katie Rose, Merry Christmas, Love Louis

19 Shannon Watkins October 16, 2009 at 1:13 pm

I would love any of the wonderfully natural giveaways, however the autographed book written by dear friend would be the utmost in prizes. I would like the inscription to read, “To Olivia, Malin, and Miranda, May you dance through life on the cushion of your dreams, Deanna” (Hopefully they are a bit more graceful than their mother, right Deanna?)
I will be posting this on my Facebook account (Shannon Watkins) to let all my other friends know of this wonderful Blog and fantastic giveaway. Ladies you are FANTASTIC!!!

20 kmw October 16, 2009 at 1:15 pm

I recently discovered your site (and love it! – it’s making me want to start knitting and move out of the city so I can raise chickens and plant a garden) I just signed up for the email subscription and I would be delighted to get any of the give aways.
If I am so lucky to win the book ,it will go my adorable little cousin Leah. Please address to Princess Leah (and add any witty comment you feel or just say “enjoy” and sign your name).
Good luck with the camera cords!

21 Lynnette October 16, 2009 at 1:29 pm

To Nevaeh, may your dancing shoes never collect dust.

22 Sage Norbury October 16, 2009 at 1:56 pm

I just put your blog and giveaway as my status on Facebook. I love your site and often use recipes, instructions, etc. you posted. The soap is for my daughter-in-law, the cloths are for me, and the book is for my 2-year-old granddaughter, Risa. The inscription should read “To Risa, the light of your MeMaw’s life.”

23 Satsuki October 16, 2009 at 2:03 pm

I would have mine say “To Amelie- A special book for a special girl.”

24 ShellyS October 16, 2009 at 2:10 pm

For Morgan
Enjoy!
Christmas 2009

25 Handful October 16, 2009 at 2:22 pm

Oh Ivory – you make me laugh!

Perhaps you could come up with some kind of “homemade” escape plan as you are such a DIY gal! Some sort of McGyver manuver? Perhaps you could make an impression of the key in your soap, than carve a wooden one…

However, if it is outside and you are inside…

If I win I would want the inscription to be “To Maura… Dance like no one is watching!” From “Ivory Soap” of course! I will keep my fingers crossed!

And how do I sign up for the emails?

26 Erin October 16, 2009 at 2:34 pm

For Lorna, may you be as addicted to reading as your Mama!

27 Jennifer3 October 16, 2009 at 2:52 pm

I am pretty boring and would just like your signature inside!

28 Alyson October 16, 2009 at 2:54 pm

Wow, any of those gifts sound wonderful, but an inscription would be for my 7-y.o. daughter, who loves to dance but doesn’t love dance class particularly, lol: Keep dancing to your own tune!

29 Rachel October 16, 2009 at 2:58 pm

My inscription would read:

For Gabriel, Don’t you just love the ballet?

Gabriel is my 5 month old. He will love the ballet. I’m sure of it.

30 Suzie October 16, 2009 at 3:02 pm

The spa goodies look lovely and the book would be a perfect gift for my nieces. So, I would like the inscription to read “To Maya and Miki, Merry Chirstmas. Dance your cares away.”

31 Rachel October 16, 2009 at 3:03 pm

Also, I added this to my stumbling and subscribed by email (even though I was already subscribed by RSS).

32 brightlight08 October 16, 2009 at 3:12 pm

If I won the book, I would want it inscribed, “To my little dancer! Love, Sister.”
You’ve got some great stuff on here! Keep it coming! :-)

33 Myrnie October 16, 2009 at 3:30 pm

“For Haley – the sweetest little ballerina there is.”

38 Mrs. Money October 16, 2009 at 5:03 pm

I put a post up on our blog linking back to this contest.
We have only one follower, but perhaps she’ll read it and discover you guys, too, if she hasn’t already.
Thanks for the giveaway and for the extra chances for the giveaway. My fingers are crossed!

40 Portia McCracken October 16, 2009 at 6:45 pm

I am a email subscriber.

43 Sky October 16, 2009 at 7:10 pm

Ivory.. I love how you make me more comfortable with who I am. Your acceptance and gentle humor about the kind of things that the rest of us beat ourselves up about is so refreshing and inspiring! Bless you!

I would love the book to be inscribed: To Devin, Maddy and Terra – The world is your stage… dance like you mean it!

44 Erin from long island October 16, 2009 at 7:15 pm

I know what the battery-eaters are like! I extend the life of the batteries in the camera by turning it off between shots, instead of leaving it on like like I used to. I also find it is helpful to keep the camera hooked up to the computer as briefly as possible. Even when the camera is off, I think the computer sucks power out of it.

45 Erin from long island October 16, 2009 at 7:30 pm

Oh, I forgot…I would just have the book inscribed “To my favorite little dancer.”

46 Erin from long island October 16, 2009 at 7:31 pm

I subscribe to you by email

47 Susan October 16, 2009 at 7:36 pm

*waves hand furiously* Pick me! Pick me!

If I was lucky enough to win, I’d like the inscription to be “To Gianna – Never be afraid to dance. You are amazing!”

She’s my niece – 21 months old and the only girl between my sister’s 4 kids and my 2. She has a twin brother. She had a rough start, but she is strong and proved all those doctors wrong. Her heart would stop and she’d turn blue. If not for her monitor she wouldn’t be with us today. Someday I hope to see her dance at her wedding! I know it will happen.

48 Emily October 16, 2009 at 7:47 pm

That whole camera saga is too funny (only because it wasn’t my saga to live-out).

I think my niece would love that book, so: “Here’s to a life full of dancing!”

49 Teresa October 16, 2009 at 7:48 pm

waaaahhaaa!! sorry I do not have time right now to blog, message or tweet- I guess I will have to find some time, so I can be a part of these wonderful giveaways:) oh but then I will not have time to read the blogs for them LOL. Best to the lucky winners enjoy!
Hope you find your cable, they tend to disapear by little hands around here also.
