I know this will sound a little deft, but where did you find these curriculums? Is this an accumulation of your own research or did you find these listed somewhere. We are going to start homeschooling our oldest and youngest next year (oldest is really struggling, and I don’t mean that lightly, and the youngest is 3yo so why not). There is just such an overwhelming amount of info out there that I never know where to start. I really, really appreciate you posting your experiences to help give me courage to do this. We are waiting until next year because we are having our fifth, and last, child in February. Anyhow, thanks again.
ShannaRae…To answer quickly, it’s a combination of three sites. I choose to use a “Living Books” type education, also called a Charlotte Mason-style education. The three big sites that use this style are http://www.oldfashionededucation.com, http://www.materamabilis.org, and http://www.amblesideonline.com. I found that each of them had strengths and weaknesses for our educational goals and family style. Everything I use, comes off of one of these three lists. And congrats on number FIVE! I want five!!!
