We have a large mole-truffling dog (part pit bull, part who knows what, and ALL character!) Of course, the whole yard looks like the canals of Mars where he has dug up the mole tunnels, but he always finds the mole. Eventually.
Why am I always disqualified for any of your prizes, AKA, free books? I have contacted you before, but never get a full answer. I read your blogs and links like anybody else.

Hi Daisy. You could try putting a garden hose into the mole hole and then turning the water on full-blast. There are also smoke bombs one can buy that are then inserted into the mole hole to smoke them out. Either method is a lot less invasive than digging a bigger hole in your garden. Ultimately, however, a wily cat will take care of the problem and then later bring you the carcass for your approval! Best of luck. “Farmer Doug” @ Ladybug’s Mew in Yellow Point (on Vancouver Island), B.C. Canada
Kathleen Beetar–I’m sorry this is happening to you. Deanna & I don’t run the Chelsea Green giveaways personally. Once you click the link, you are away from our site and we don’t have the ability to administer that site.
While I don’t know exactly what the situation is with you in particular, Chelsea Green has told me that if someone signs up for emails from their site (which one has to do, I believe, as a part of the giveaway registration process), THEN unsubscribes later, then the computer automatically nixes future attempts at giveaway registration. I don’t know why it is that way, but I suppose it’s standard for the software they use to facilitate the giveaways. I don’t know if there is a way to undo this automatic disqualification or not. If you think that may be the reason you aren’t able to sign up, let me know and I will ask and see if I can have you “hand-written” into the giveaway, if possible. If that isn’t the reason you can’t sign up, I have no idea what might be happening there.
Again, I’m so sorry you’re being blocked!
Thank you so much for this party
I hope you’re having a good weekend
Thanks for hosting and have a great week!
