For when you really want to give a handknit gift but you’re running out of time: Washcloths

Or dishcloths, dishrags, call them what you may. They’re quick and easy and still handknit.

Here are a few of my favorites from our site:

Honeycomb Dishcloth

Hugs and Kisses Dishcloth (my favorite!)

IMG_7014The Ramen Noodle. Fun to knit. Accidentally looks like dehydrated noodle product.

These are all free patterns. You may make them as gifts or sell them for profit or charity. Anything you like. These have all been on the site for a good while and there may be some helpful (or confusing) information in the comments.

I typically use a yarn like this one for washcloths when I want a solid. When I want the excitement of self-striping (I’m easily excited), I love something like this. For a real washcloth marathon, here’s a cone.

We also have many more washcloths and other knitting patterns on the site I didn’t link to here. Just put the word ‘knit’ in our search bar and browse around. Check them out and happy knitting!
