Hi ladies,
I’m reading your fabulous (and humorous) book which I found at the wonderful Germantown, TN library. Thank you so much for all the great information. I’m inspired to expand our vegetable gardening next year. I’d also LOVE to be adventurous enough to get some chickens. It was sheer joy reading your book, and I’m looking forward to more of the same as a new subscriber to your blog.

Michelle–Thank you so much! We really appreciate your taking the time to comment and let us know. We love our readers. We wish you much adventure in your future, especially of the horti- and avi-cultural variety!

I just finished reading your book ( got it from the library) and I found your writing very humorous and helpful, esp the soap/skin care section. Our family is slowly transitioning to a more self sustaining lifestyle, and hoping to move to the country in a few years. For now, we still live in the suburbs.
I’m in Canada, which is awesome, except we don’t have anyone making books like this for our circumstances. Even tiny homes info is hard to come by, which is quite frustrating. We have lots of gardening books and I guess people are just more subtle about their backyard efforts.
Looking forward to trying your lotion and soap bars!

Kathy–I’m so glad you found the book helpful! I hope you have a blast making the lotion and soap. I think it’s so rewarding. Best of luck!
