Hi, Ivory,

Good luck on a thankless task. You have my respect and my sympathy.

I thought site this might be of interest to you: http://people.ucalgary.ca/~dKbrown/twelve.html

I noticed you have A Child’s Garden of Verses on your list. Please do yourself and your child a favor and spring for the Tasha Tudor edition. It is so beautiful and so sweet, your children will cherish it into their dotage. It’s easy to find and shouldn’t cost too much for a good used copy.

Best of luck with your endeavor!

You will LOVE LOVE LOVE Homeschooling… It will change everyone’s lives in your family.. Seriously. My children who are now all grown and in college… love to learn. I love to learn.. my husband loves to learn. Homeschooling is the best gift you can give your children! You are smart to guide your children and assume responsibility for their education. Don’t worry about “socialization” believe me.. the crappy socializing that they get in school is the reason why most of us choose to do this in the first place. There are so many worthwhile things you can use as social activities for the children.. don’t listen to the people who are “concerned” about your homeschooling. When they see how happy, well-adjusted, and intelligent your children are.. they will shut up! Honest!
Good luck in all of your endeavors!
