Last June, I had a day long photo shoot for our new book Little House in the Suburbs. Can I tell you how much I hate pictures of myself? But since Daisy doesn’t do pictures, we were the models!
So, this is me “tending the garden”. They said, pick cucumbers until we tell you to stop. Don’t look at the camera. In the book, you only see my hands with the cukes. I wonder if it’s that look on my face. Mom says that we both have “turned down” mouth corners. True that.
The day of the shoot, I had three wardrobe changes. My kids had none. If you look at the pictures in the book, my daughter is in the same outfit in every picture. I am in a different shirt. So apparently, it looks like three days of shooting where I never let my child change clothes. HA!
After me, we shot my oldest daughter tending the garden. Ain’t she precious. She picked and picked squash for this shot. She kept trying to “teach” how to pick squash instead of just picking it. Cutie!
Okay, check out this picture of us walking the goats an hour later. I have a NEW shirt on…ah, glamour.
And the final wardrobe change….ooo, I did change her. YAY for me!
They wanted a family shot of us. So, this is us munching on my MIL’s FABULOUS banana bread in the common area behind our house. since I can’t have grains, sugar, or milk…that piece in my hand NEVER made it to my mouth.
Tune in tomorrow for Behind the Scenes of LHITS…the wonders of photoshop.

Hey girl! Fabulous!!!! Miss you….
I’m not suppose to have grains, eggs, milk, or pork. How did you know about sugar? I’ve wondered if sugar could be causing me so much fatigue.
This book helped me figure it out: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/beginners_guide/the_science_behind_the_diet2.htm
Renee, if the houses keep turning down my mss, I’ll NEVER get to LA!
Hi, I found you through Blackberry Vine’s Tuesday To Do Party. I love seeing the behind the scenes of your photo shoot. What fun! I’m new to your site and just beginning to look around. Hope you’ll stop by my place and see what I’m up to as well!
