We have a new header!
After years of the old hunter green, we were beginning to feel like one vase of dusty silk flowers and a floral wallpaper border away from 1997.
We hope you will enjoy our NEW header, featuring the original scratchboard portrait of one of my Black Australorps (named Blackie like her sister: Blackie).
The header design is courtesy of local Tennessee artist, Jeff Atnip, who also does beautiful watercolors (which you can see on his website, here).
You may have noticed some new navigation on the right sidebar–a guide to some of our more trafficked tutorials, by category. Deanna has been wrestling with a new version of our theme, Thesis, which has made her have unkind thoughts. She called me the other day and said she was taking a sanity break from all the wrangling by cleaning house, which was sort of like saying she was taking a break from stubbing her toes by pulling out her eyelashes. Anyway, it’s a nice change for me (Thank you, Deanna!), and we hope it is for you all, too.
There may be the odd hiccup here and there as we (ha–she, Deanna, who am I kidding, I’m no help!) works out a couple of kinks, so please bear with us.
I love your new look. Very fresh and modern. I need a Deanna in my life. I lost my header completely.
Love the new graphics! Modern yet homey. 🙂
Love the new look!!! That is a beautiful portrait of Blackie. Now I will have to visit Jeff’s website to see what he has there.
